• The geographic database MONDIAL (in F-Logic, Datalog, Oracle, XML and RDF/OWL format) built by information extraction and integration from the Web (1998-2000, completed and ongoing as case-study for XML, RDF, etc, and as running example in our courses.

• RDF to Relational - Mapping/OBDA: RDF2Rel allows to generate, manipulate, and populate relational schemas from ontologies (2012-2018).

  • DL+Florid: Hybrid Reasoning with DL and F-Logic (2006-2008).
  • OWLQ: A language and ontology for stating conjunctive queries against OWL data (2007-2008).
• LinXIS (Linked XML Information Sources): Database aspects of linked XML instances (2001-2007; funded by DFG 2004-2006).
• LoPiX (Logic Programming in XML, 2000-2004): An implementation of the declarative XML data manipulation language XPathLog (2000-2004), used for XML data integration.
• Referential Integrity in Databases (1996-2004)
• Development of an information system at the health protection department at Volkswagenwerk Kassel/Baunatal (2005-2009).
